These displays provide the most economical solution for applications based upon FOUNDATION Fieldbus™ protocol, and requiring only a single variable to be indicated. A large, high contrast five-digit LCD display and horizontal bargraph provides easy-to-read information. Units of measure can be marked onto the display escutcheon at the time of manufacture. Similarly, a tag number or application specific information can be thermally printed onto the rear panel.

Powered directly from the bus these indicators require only a 2-wire connection to the fieldbus segment — no additional power supply is required. Compatibility with most FOUNDATION Fieldbus™ hosts is insured by the use of a single Input Selector function block.

There's a choice of field or panel mounting versions. The field mounting models are housed in a robust IP66 glass reinforced polyester (GRP) enclosure with a toughened glass window. These may be direct surface mounted, or pipe mounted using one of the accessory kits. The panel mounting models have an IP66 front panel with a neoprene gasket to seal the joint between the instrument and the panel.

For hazardous area use the two intrinsically safe models comply with the Fieldbus Intrinsically Safe Concept (FISCO) and Fieldbus Non Incendive Concept (FNICO) which simplifies system design. Both of these have FM approval (IS and NI) plus ATEX and IECEx certification. There's also an ATEX and IECEx certified Type nL model, plus versions for general-purpose use.
