Static Control System for Safe Road Tanker Loading
Earth-Rite RTR™
with tri-mode sensing
  • Verifies tanker type personality
  • Confirms positive static ground connection before connecting tanker
  • Monitors low resistance static path from tanker to ground during loading
  • Provides interlock control contact
  • Red/green LED status indication
  • Meets NFPA 77 recommended practice
  • Intrinsically safe
  • FM approved, ATEX, IECEx certified
  • Easy to install & operate
Designed to prevent static accumulation and discharge during road tanker filling & off-loading, the Earth-Rite RTR™ tri-mode system insures that correct bonding and grounding procedures are carried out before the transfer process begins, then continues to monitor the integrity. The system first carries out a unique “tanker verification” check by measuring the tanker capacitance to insure the system is not being by-passed by connection to an alternative metal structure. If a legitimate measurement is made the system then goes on to check the static earth path. The system only becomes permissive when these two conditions are within correct parameters. The sensing circuitry itself meets intrinsic safety codes.

Local indicator LEDs confirm the tanker/earth condition to the operator, whilst the internal volt-free switch contacts may be interlocked with pumps, valves, alarms etc. to stop the operation if the ground or tanker connection should be compromised. The system is self diagnostic and will always fail-safe in the event of a short or open circuit.

Ask about the RTR Tester Unit which enables a system to be tested without an actual tanker truck being present. Perfect for commisioning new installations or making periodic inspections.
