Photo of a typical Extronics iWAP Zone 1 wireless access point and router for industrial installations The iWAP Series: A family of Wi-Fi access points and Ethernet routers designed and certified for use in hazardous (classified) locations typically found in chemical plants, oil refineries, and around oil & gas platforms. Non-certified "industrial" versions are offered for use in extreme environmental conditions everywhere.

Universal models permit the installation of equipment from leading WLAN vendors such as Cisco, Firetide, Symbol, and others upon request. The enclosure is supplied with required internal power supplies, cable glands, and external antenna couplers to suit the specific vendor's hardware.

Select an economical radio and enclosure assembly such as the iWAP102A, or ask us to quote a solution using your preferred equipment. Extronics iWAP enclosures must be assessed for compatibility with individual radios but this is handled quickly and painlessly from the customer’s perspective. You can also select a pre-approved radio such as the Cisco 1242AP for faster delivery.
