In 1994 Exloc Instruments was born from a desire to provide one convenient source for instruments, electronic devices and other products specifically designed and approved for use in hazardous classified locations involving flammable gas and dust atmospheres. We specialize in products outside the scope of the mainstream process control vendors, carrying the latest hazardous area certifications and approvals from the top notified bodies.

 Launched and managed by individuals with a long history of experience and innovation in this unique field of engineering, Exloc has grown into a widely recognized and respected vendor. Initially serving industrial clients in North America, we now serve customers throughout the world, and in 2012 a sister company was launched in the United Kingdom.

 In early 2026, after nearly 30 years in business, Exloc Instruments Inc. was acquired by i.safe MOBILE, a global leader in intrinsically safe mobile devices for hazardous areas. This marked a new chapter for Exloc US, adding i.safe MOBILE's resources, innovation and global reach while preserving the same trusted team and level of support our customers have always relied on. Exloc remains fully committed to all of our manufacturers and product lines, and our broad portfolio of process instrumentation, communication equipment and other specialized hazardous-area solutions continues to be a core focus.

 Our corporate head office in Montgomery, Texas is ideally positioned to support clients in the U.S. Gulf Coast Region, a strategic center of the oil and gas industry. We recently completed construction of a new, purpose-built office and warehouse facility, featuring a significantly larger modern warehouse and an expanded, state-of-the-art service center for product service and provisioning. Our operations are certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, reflecting our commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.

 By partnering with experienced manufacturers in Europe and North America and selecting products that are best in their class, we offer a constantly growing, complementary selection that lets customers make qualified, timely purchasing decisions with minimal research.
