The Armadex Ex UniCase for the iPad Pro M4 provides a complete tablet solution for industrial environments requiring ATEX and IECEx Zone 2 gas and Zone 22 dust protection. The explosion-proof iPad enclosure brings familiar tablet functionality into hazardous-area workflows.

Teams can use an enclosed iPad Pro M4 hazardous area tablet for inspections, documentation, reporting, equipment visualization, and field-data collection. This gives operators a practical mobile interface for accessing and recording information on a designated Zone 2 or Zone 22 iPad.

An Intrinsically Safe iPad Case Built for Industrial Tablet Use

The Armadex Ex UniCase provides mechanical protection while maintaining access to important tablet functions. It turns a standard iPad Pro M4 into a certified iPad for hazardous areas. 

The main enclosure of the iPad Pro M4 hazardous area tablet case is made from ESD-safe POM-C. The touchscreen is protected by an impact-resistant polycarbonate display window. A transparent Plexiglas back cover and 3 mm silicone rubber O-ring provide additional protection and sealing.

The IECEx/ATEX iPad enclosure maintains access to:

  • Physical tablet buttons
  • Cameras and microphone
  • Speakers and audio functions
  • USB-C port

A dedicated sealing cover protects the USB-C port during operation. The button interface also keeps the tablet’s physical controls operable through the hazardous area iPad enclosure.

Modular Design for Future Upgrades

This ATEX/IECEx iPad case is a universal enclosure designed for 10- to 11-inch tablets, with device-specific ABS corner inlays that position the tablet securely inside. The Armadex Ex UniCase modular inlay system allows the tablet to be replaced or upgraded independently of the explosion-proof iPad enclosure.

The upgrade-ready design can extend the intrinsically safe iPad enclosure’s service life and provide greater flexibility as your Zone 22 or Zone 2 iPad hardware changes.
