Yes. When paired with the appropriate IS-PTTBxA.1 push-to-talk button and a certified i.safe MOBILE device, the IS-HDHS1C.1 is approved for use in Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22 environments, including areas with flammable gases, vapors, or combustible dust.
The PTT button maintains intrinsic safety between the headset and the device. Per Ex safety requirements, the PTT must be connected to the mobile device outside explosion-hazardous areas, while the headset’s Nexus connection may be attached or detached within classified zones.

The IS-HDHS1C.1 delivers 27 dBA of passive noise reduction through sound-attenuating ear cups that physically block ambient industrial noise. This reduces machinery and process noise without relying on additional active electronics.
Its bi-directional electret microphone includes noise-cancellation technology that filters background sounds from transmitted speech. Combined with sealed ear cups and a dynamic loudspeaker, the headset supports clear communication in high-noise and explosive environments.
